Windows 10 2004 (20H1), the first major update of the operating system already has an official name. It will be called Windows 10 May 2020 Update, an expected name and that does not come as a surprise after starting to use this type of name a few updates ago. The Redmond-based company has already completed the update and it is now possible to get the final update within the Windows Insider program. Also, now we can download the May 2020 Update ISO to perform a clean install from scratch of Windows 10.
Build 19041.207 (KB4550936) is now available to Insiders in the ring Release Preview. Microsoft has confirmed that this is the final version of the update that, if nothing serious happens, will begin to reach all Windows 10 users starting next month. As always, the update will roll out gradually, and some users may take longer than others to make it available.
Install Windows 10 May 2020 Update from scratch
However, it is now also possible to download the image Windows 10 operating system ISO upgraded to this version for a clean install from scratch. This ISO image can be opened in Windows 10, burned to DVD to have a replica of the original installation disc, or opened with a 7-zip style program to access the content inside.
To download the ISO image from Windows 10 May 2020 Update you must be signed in to the Windows Insider program. This is free of charge for us and gives us access to new system updates before anyone else.
Following these steps we will achieve ISO image:
- Access the program Windows Insider
- Click BECOME AN INSIDER
- Once completed, we make sure we are logged in with the account with which we have registered
- We visit the Windows Insider download website
- We go down to the “Select Edition” section
- We choose “Windows 10 Insider Preview (SLOW) – Build 19041” in the dropdown
- Click on Confirm
- We choose the language in the dropdown
- Click on Confirm
- We choose the version between 32 bit and 64 bit
- Downloading the ISO image begins
The size of the ISO image of Windows 10 May 2020 Update is 4.7GB so it will take a few minutes to download depending on our Internet connection. Once completed, we will have the file “Windows10_InsiderPreview_Client_x64_es-es_19041” in case of selecting Spanish as the language and 64 bit as the version.
From there, we can burn it to DVD or create a USB drive to install the operating system from scratch in this version. Once the process is complete, we will have the version Windows 10 2004 build 19041.207 installed.
