KFC has decided it’s time they give their catchphrase “finger lickin’ good” a literal meaning.

The fast food chain has created edible nail polish that sort of tastes like, er, chicken.

(Because the first thing that springs to your mind when you wear nail polish is “Oh I wish I could eat this!”)

Launched in Hong Kong, KFC is currently serving up two nail polish flavours – Original and Hot & Spicy.

According to Ad Week, advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather teamed up with food technologists at McCormick – the firm that provides the fast food retailer with its herbs and spices – to create these so-called beauty products.

And if things aren’t bizarre enough, here’s the music video that KFC made to celebrate the arrival of their beauty products.

It is believed only one flavour will be available for sale, depending on how well they are appreciated during market research.

And people can vote for their favourite on KFC’s Facebook page.

Nail polish that is edible, tastes like chicken and has nothing to do with greasy fingers after an epic binge? We just can’t get our head around it…
