With just over a week to go until the much anticipated Nitro Circus arrives in town for their show on Saturday June 11th, Irish fans have been promised “the most explosive event in extreme sports.”
Led by American motorsports competitor Travis Pastrana, the show features some of the most insane tricks ever carried out in the history of daredevil sports.
Michael Perra, Nitro Circus CEO spoke of his delight at bringing the show for its first stadium performances in this part of the world.
“We are so excited to bring the biggest, most daring action sports production ever staged to the UK and Ireland.
“Our insane group of athletes perform stunts that you literally cannot see anywhere else on the planet.
“We’re constantly pushing each other to break records and do things that people previously thought was physically impossible.
Starting out as a DVD series filmed in Travis Pastrana’s backyard, it then progressed to a reality TV show and 3D film. The Nitro Circus team now travel the world with their death-defying stunts and have had sell out shows across Europe, North America, Austrailia, New Zealand, Asia and Africa.
Organisers say that the daredevil cast will perform “the most incredible choreographed riding routines ever seen in freestyle motocross, BMX, skate and much more.”
The shows highlights include the explosive “Nitro Bomb” which involves a number of riders slipping simultaneously, FMX trains which sees riders slice through the air wheel-to-wheel, mere inches apart.
Nitro Circus athletes will also brave the infamous 40-foot Giganta ramp, which will launch a host of ridiculous contraptions like trikes, a penny farthing, a lounge chair, a bathtub and much more.
All of the riders involved in the show are among the very best in the world at what they do.
Last month it was reported that Ryan Williams, a 21 Australian scooter-riding YouTube star, signed a $1 million contract with Nitro Circus Live to tour the world for the next three years.
Nitro Circus is an absolute world wide phenomenon with over a billion views on Facebook alone. For digital viewers they’re the most engaged sport in the US, more than basketball or the NFL.
These high levels of social media engagement have not escaped the notice of platforms including Amazon, with whom Nitro Circus is negotiating a potential $100m deal to provide hundreds of hours of new content.
Live shows are heading to China, where the Nitro Circus is looking to form a joint venture.
All of this mayhem in one show requires more than 15 trucks and 50 crew members to transport and set up which all adds up to a theatrical spectacular that fans have never experienced before.
Tickets for the next Saturday’s show are available via nitrocircus.live and ticketmaster outlets.
