Tallaght Martial Arts sent a small team of two to the WAKO World Cup in Rimini in Italy last weekend.
This tournament was the final WAKO World Cup of the year and over 40 nations took part from all across the globe.
Caradh O’Donovan, attending her third WAKO World Cup of the year, reached her third consecutive final of 2017 in the Senior Womens -55kg category.
Here she took on Beatrice Zuchelli of Italy and after a very tough bout she clinched the victory over her Italian opponent by a single point.
With a Gold Medal already in the bag, Caradh also took part in the Women’s -60kg category and Women’s Open Weight event.
Here she finished with both a bronze medal in each event.
Brosna O’Donovan also took part in the tournament and although she reached the quarter finals of both the -50kg and -55kg categories, she was unfortunate not to progress through to reach the podium on this occasion.
Next up for Tallaght Martial Arts is the White Tiger Challenge which takes place in Castlebar next weekend, best of luck to all members taking part.
