The world’s second fastest man was in Santry, Dublin on Friday July 24th at the Morton Games International Track and Field Meet.

Jamaica’s Johan Blake broke the all comers’ record for the 100m when he stormed to an impressive victory in a time of 10.12.

In the following 100m race Tallaght A.C’s Joseph Ojewumi had a fantastic run, to finish 3rd in a high class field with a time of 10.77 behind runner up Christopher Sibanda representing the host club Clonliffe Harriers and the winner Imran Rahman (GBR).

Joseph Lyons was another Tallaght athlete who ran well, producing a late surge in one of the IMC 800m race which brought him across the line in 3rd with a new personal best time of 1.55.5 while Tallaght juveniles also put on a great display of running when finishing 3rd in the U15 one mile relay where each of the 16 young athletes ran 100m and combined very well to easily break the four minute mile barrier with plenty to spare.
