Tallafest is finally here this month on Saturday August 15th. The festival is in its third year and is organised by Tallaght Community Council (TCC). Tallafest is a free family event, taking place on Main Street, The Priory and St Maelruains.

As well as the firm favourites of the balloon release, guided nature walks, farm zone, tower climbs, face painting, creative play, craft workshops, live stage and story telling, the festival will host some new activities such as yoga classes, a festival art gallery, live history re-enactments for kids, a Bake-Off, a writers workshop (Louise Phillips) and a world record relay running attempt in Westpark. 98FM will be broadcasting from the Big Red on Main Street again.

Local man Andy Halpin will also be launching his new book Annette’s Story, about a woman who falls in love with a time traveller.
