Space Jam is getting a sequel featuring LeBron James

A childhood classic is finally getting its sequel, with Space Jam not only heading back to the big screen but also starring LeBron James.

The original intergalactic basketball film featuring Michael Jordan, Danny DeVito and Bill Murray came out in 1996 and now the follow-up is on its way, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Fast 6 and Star Trek Beyond director Justin Lin is said to be on board, alongside writers Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello.

The release date and storyline is still unknown, but if James’s part in Space Jam 2 is as funny as his recent feature on Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck, the film should be worth the wait.
