It was back in 2013 that the community along with the teachers and pupils of Scoil Chaitlín Maude in Knockmore, Killinarden demanded a school building.

For the last twenty-eight years, Scoil Chaitlín Maude has been successfully providing primary education through the medium of Irish for the community of Tallaght West. Despite not have its own school building.

All that changed soon after their campaign as the new school building was given the go ahead and this month all involved we delighted to receive the keys to their brand new school.

A post on the schools official Facebook page gave the community of Tallaght a sneak peek inside the state of the art building.

A post on the schools official Facebook page read;

“Tá gliondar croí orainn tráthnóna- ba mhaith linn a chur in iúl daoibh go bhfuaireamar eochracha an fhoirgnimh scoile nua!
We are delighted to tell you all that we got the keys to our new school building this afternoon!
Scoil Chaitlín Maude go deo!”

Although the pupils and staff have a little wait longer before classes can take place inside that wont upset too many people as the school have waited for this day for 28 years.

We are looking forward to the official opening and of course getting the chance to have a look inside as much as the staff and pupils.

Tá gliondar croí orainn tráthnóna- ba mhaith linn a chur in iúl daoibh go bhfuaireamar eochracha an fhoirgnimh scoile…
