NYF Dublin announce 2015 Spoken Word festival programme

The NYF Spoken Word Festival is back after selling out last year and this year you can expect an even more exciting and eclectic line-up of fresh voices across the city. NYF Dublin will welcome back their friends at Lingo and Soundings and new friends Ashoka to invite you to experience the best of Irish wit, poetry and hip hop, with lively discussion and debate and everything in between.

The Spoken Word Festival will showcase the very best from emerging talents in poetry and the spoken word, with some lively discussion and debate thrown in for good measure including Soundings: Holy Trinity with Dylan Haskins and Lisa Hannigan at House of Lords, Bank of Ireland, Lingo Brunch at The Meeting House, Temple Bar,  Lingo Bingo, NYF Poetry Slam and Poets vs Rappers at the Workman’s Club,  Ashoka Ireland’s ‘Yes Inclusion: Building An Ireland Where Everyone is Welcome’  and the family friendly A Guard at the Cross in Smock Alley.

NYF Dublin is a three-day citywide festival celebrating the best of contemporary Irish talent in Arts, Music, Culture and Live Entertainment. Now in its second year, NYF Dublin has expanded to include many new elements and events for all ages. Spanning the New Year period from 30 December – 1 January, NYF celebrates a multi-platform experience inspired by the diversity and complexity of Ireland’s contemporary culture. NYF showcases the evolution of its shining talent in music, design, art, and spoken word.

The NYF Dublin Festival is an initiative by Fáilte Ireland in partnership with Dublin City Council and is produced and promoted by Holohan Leisure and MCD Productions.
