Hundreds of Ed Sheeran fans made their way to The Square this morning in the hope of securing a precious ticket for one of his up and coming Dublin gigs.
Up to 250 hardy souls braved the rain and the extra long queue for Ticketmaster which started outside the East Entrance.
Square Security reported that some had even been there since last night!
The massively popular Sheeran plays two nights in the 3 Arena on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th of April.
Unfortunately a lot of his die hard fans were left disappointed this morning as Ticketmaster reported the gigs sold under in under five minutes.
Sheeran’s management say they are working as hard as they can to limit ticket touting ahead of his tour both here and the UK.
His spokeswoman said:
“We’ve also partnered with Twickets, a site which allows fans to swap tickets at face value or less.
“We are pushing them as the official resale partner and a safe place to swap tickets.
“We urge all fans not to engage with other sites to avoid being ripped off with higher prices or counterfeit tickets.”
