The family of a ten-year-old boy with autism are appealing for help in locating their dog last seen with two young boys on the red Luas line this day last week.
Mojo, an 8-month-old Chihuahua, escaped from his Tallaght home last Friday.
He was last spotted at Kylemore with two young boys believed to be around 12 years of age.
The dog is the much loved pet of Sean (10) and his family have offered a generous reward to anyone who has information about the pup, who is of tan colouring with a white belly.
Sean’s Mum Tara Matthews said:
“My son Sean has autism and he’s extremely upset about Mojo.
“The dog is his best friend and his canine companion and we’re eager to see him returned safely to us.
“He ran out of the house at about 3PM on Friday and it was a few minutes before we realised he had.
“We’re really appealing to anyone who may have seen the dog to get in touch with us, or bring him to the local dog pound or DSPCA centre if they have him.
“He’s really precious to us.”
After posting an appeal on social media, Tara was contacted in relation to a recent sighting:
“A woman saw two young boys on the Luas with Mojo and she was trying to buy the dog off them in order to save it.
“She knew they didn’t own it.
“Then the dog was spotted by a couple of other people saying they saw the boys getting off the Luas at Kylemore.”
Mojo is an 8 month old Chihuahua, of tan colouring with a white belly.
