IT company announces plans for 365 new jobs in Dublin

Good news on the jobs front for Dublin as IT services company Version 1 has revealed plans to create 365 IT jobs over the next three years at its offices in the city centre.

The jobs announcement comes following a €90m investment from UK private equity firm Volpi Capital.

Version 1 say they are aiming to fill 100 positions in 2017, from graduate level to senior management.

Next month they are launching their 2018 Graduate Programme to hire 70 IT graduates, making it one of the largest employers of this particular group in Ireland.

The company already employs around 900 people between Ireland and the UK.

“We’ve built a great place to work in Dublin that provides services across the group, servicing customers in the UK, Ireland and increasingly across Europe,” said CEO Tom O’Connor.

“The announcement today of 365 new jobs is as a result of our growth over the past five years and our confidence in our ambitious growth plans over the next three years”

“We take a huge amount of pride in our employees, and a constant focus of ours is on being a best workplace, which has seen Version 1 being named in the Top 10 Best Large Workplaces for the past six years running.

“I am also delighted that 40 senior managers have recently become Version 1 shareholders.”
