Irish WNT’s Euro 17 Campaign Begins

The Republic of Ireland Women’s National team kick off their UEFA Euro 2017 qualifying campaign in Tallaght tonight.

The Girls in Green face Finland in Tallaght Stadium (kick-off 7.30pm) as they go about trying to qualify for their first major tournament.

Happy Birthday to Ireland player and local legend Katie McCabe (pictured above) who celebrates her 20th birthday today. Lets hope it’s a party to remember! Here’s Katie talking about looking forward to playing in her home town tonight.

Admission to the game is €5 adults and €2 for students and schoolchildren. There will be a Fan Zone inside the stadium from 6.30pm. The match will also be broadcast live by Setanta Sports.
