This week will see some of the funniest faces in the county come together to raise money for a very special little girl to make memories with her family.
Bohernabreena native Lynn McDonald is urging people to support the Daisy’s Days fundraising evening for her daughter, Daisy, at the Kiltipper Café and Bar on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
The event will include live segments with Dave Young, Chanto from Giz a Laugh and Norris Stephens who is known as Ireland’s George Michael as well as magician Jamie Skelton, Darren Conway and Dean Forster.
Lynn recently told InTallaght that every moment with her young daughter is precious and she, along with 9-year-old sister Ellie, are determined to make even more special memories with the adorable youngster.
The family has recently started a Bucket List for the 4-year-old and last week her sister fulfilled one of Daisy’s wishes – to have a pet unicorn, which she named Shadow.
Daisy, who is non-verbal, does not have the use of her hands, is unable to sit unaided, crawl, stand or walk and is tube-fed, family recently discovered that Daisy would need a ventilator and doctors have said she must use it 24-hours a day but she is remaining positive throughout.
The money raised on Wednesday evening will go towards an outside unit outside to store the overflowing equipment and medical supplies and a safe sensory and therapy area for Daisy.
Tickets for the event, which are available from Kiltipper Café and Bar or by visiting Daisy’s Days, are priced at just €10 with a special raffle on the evening, tickets starting at €5, and all support is welcome.
The family has also set up a Go Fund Me page to help make some more precious memories with their brave girl and has reached just over 50% of their goal so far. To find out more or to donate visit the page here: https://www.gofundme.com/daisys-days .
