Fun in the sun at Tallafest 2017

The sun shone on Tallaght on Saturday for Tallafest 2017 as the large crowd were treated to a fun filled day of creative and imaginative activities.

Tallaght’s rich history, arts, culture and rural farming heritage provides the inspiration behind Tallafest which keeps growing in popularity year on year.
The 5th festival, since its inception in 2013, was opened by Grand Marshall and local legend Paddy Drac and featured all the firm favourites from previous years; farm zone, live stage, sports zone and history zone as well as some new festival zones like the Create Zone, Science Alley, clay modelling workshops with Jumping Clay Dublin and a Recreate workshop.
Organised by the Tallaght Community Council, with support from an army of volunteers and local organisations, businesses and clubs, this years festival once again shone a spotlight on all that is great in Tallaght.
