October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and members of Fit4Less in Tallaght are getting involved with a Paint HIIT Pink Party.
The énergie Group has shown a long-standing commitment to health and fitness causes, having previously founded National Fitness Day to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity.
For Breast Cancer Awareness Month the team are going to run a Paint HIIT Pink Party, all you need to do is arrive in Fit4Less Tallaght at 11am this Sunday October 30th, wear something pink and get involved!
It is sure to be an event not to be missed with personal trainer Leanne Moore and Siobhan O’Hagan running it!
Every year nearly 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK, equivalent to one person every 10 minutes.
1 in 8 women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is at the forefront of promoting awareness of breast cancer issues, dedicated to educating and empowering women to take charge of their own breast health by practicing regular self-breast exams to identify any changes, scheduling regular visits and annual mammograms with their healthcare provider, adhering to prescribed treatment and knowing the facts about recurrence.
All funds raised throughout October mean Breast Cancer Care can provide its specialist nurses, local services and vital emotional support network for free to those who need it.
Jack Kenny Manager at Fit4Less Tallaght, said:
“Raising awareness about breast cancer is such an important cause, and one that I know is close to home for a lot of people.
“I am so proud of all my team for their efforts during this important month.”
