Members of the Dublin Fire Brigade got more than they bargained for when they responded to a call in Kingswood this morning!
The crew at fire brigade control guided the family through the final stages of labour and while an ambulance raced to the scene, the baby was born at the house soon after the ambulance arrived soon after 6am this morning!
“The crews helped at the final moments of the birth and then brought mother and baby to the Coombe hospital where mother and baby were thought to be doing well,” a Dublin Fire Brigade spokeswoman told The Irish Independent.
“We don’t even know yet if the baby is a boy or a girl,” she added.
What a great start to the day!
We would love to find out more about the baby and the family, if you know them ask them to drop us an email on [email protected]
