Make-A-Wish Ireland has launched an unforgettable fundraising walking challenge to the Islands of Sardinia and Corsica. The Walk for Wishes takes place from Sunday October 9th to 16th and is a unique challenge and way to raise money to help grant wishes to brave children aged between 3 – 17 years battling life-threatening threatening illnesses such as cancer, Leukaemia, Cystic Fibrosis, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, heart conditions and many more.
Make-A-Wish is hoping to grant 182 magical wishes this year, and their fundraising walking challenge will ensure they increase funding to help reach their target of wishes in 2016. Participants will also be part of an unforgettable experience, as the well-planned and organised walk is one of the most scenic routes around Europe; Beach walk in Biderosa and Emerald Coast; Visiting Garibaldi’s footsteps, Caprera; and a hike in the rocky wonder world, Capo Testa!
Susan O’Dwyer, Chief Executive Officer, Make-A-Wish said:

We are looking for walkers of all capabilities to join us and Walk for Wishes. Irwin Gill is a vastly experienced competent walk organiser and will be our guide on the trip. The total amount to be raised by each participant for the walk is a minimum of €3,500, which includes all cost aspects of the trip.”
This charity walk is being offered as a fully inclusive trip with return flights from Dublin, and all food and accommodation provided. Applicants for the walk must be over 18 years of age, or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
