Those who have had the opportunity to browse the Sky TV guide in the last few days will have noticed that at the appeal, from May 1st, Disney channels are missing. This is not a momentary thing, much less a decoder malfunction, but a decision by the entertainment giant.
With the arrival in Italy of Disney +, which took place on March 24, the Mickey Mouse house has decided to cut the bridges with Sky, which has led to the goodbye to Disney Channel and Disney Junior. The two channels have been present on the bouquet since 2003, a period of time in which they kept millions of children company.
The decision is closely related to Disney’s new streaming service as everyone the contents transmitted during these 17 years are available in the catalogue of the paid platform, which costs € 6.99 per month or € 69.99 for the annual subscription.
This change will cause another change to the Now TV price list which will be remodelled from May 27th. In fact, with the farewell of Disney Channel and Disney Plus, Carton Network and Boomerang will arrive in the subscription on the platform on demand.
At least at the moment, Disney has not decided to change the agreements signed with the TVs for the free-to-air transmission of its contents.
