Average Tuesday night in Terenure as Justin Bieber plays basketball in Bushy Park

The biggest crowd ever to grace the basketball courts in Bushy Park gathered last night to watch pop mega star Justin Bieber shoot hoops with his crew.

Ahead of his concert in the RDS tonight, Bieber displayed his skills during a competitive game of basketball with his entourage in front of an adoring crowd.

Fans took to social media to share pictures and videos of the star playing in the Terenure park.

The Canadian singer had arrived in Dublin by private jet on Monday night for the latest leg of his “Purpose” world tour which kicked off in Holland in May.

When Bieber and his entourage went to leave last night they were held up for 20 minutes on Rathdown Avenue as hundreds of excited fans gathered around his car.

Bieber will take to the stage tonight in the RDS shortly after 8pm and like all the big summer gigs there will be strict security measures.

A backpack ban is in place and attendees will be subject to a “pat down” and a metal detector check.

An advisory notice from Aiken Promotions reads: “Due to heightened security throughout European, there will be additional strict checks in place for your safety and confidence.”

It also advises attendees to leave extra time to arrive at the venue and make their way to their seats.
