Dublin Fire Brigade say they responded to over 1,120 emergency calls during Halloween Night with over seven hundred of these calls coming in only two hours last night.

Halloween Night is usually one of the busiest nights of the year for the fire service and last night was no exception with fire crews called to deal with up to 400 bonfires with ambulance services called to 250 incidents.

Garda public order units were also on call through Halloween night to assist fire crews dealing with dangerous incidents and bonfires.

Tallaght Fire Station (B Watch) reported dealing with “a car fire on a green area.”

Following their day’s work Dublin Fire Brigade reported via Twitter:

“Busy 24 hrs in Dublin, all our firefighter/paramedics went home safe at the end of shift.

“We hope everyone had a fun #Halloween.”
