Nike and Adidas go down together to fight racism. The two clothing brands joined in memory of George Floyd, whose killing kicked off a series of fierce protests in Minneapolis. Nike this morning posted a new spot on Twitter that immediately went around the web.
“For once, don’t do it,” says the Nike commercial, which calls for”don’t pretend there’s no problem in America. Don’t turn your back on racism. Do not accept that innocent lives are taken from us. Don’t use any other excuses. Don’t think this isn’t about you. Don’t sit silent. We are all part of the change“. Among the thousands of retweets, that of Nike, Nike’s “rival” brand, came up surprisingly.
The German company has in fact taken up the message of competitors on its Twitter account: “together is the way forward. Together is the way to change” it is read in Adidas’ tweet, which sparked fans, who asked the two companies to collaborate on a special clothing line to bring their message everywhere. At the moment there are no signs of this type, but Adidas’ retweet is destined to enter history.

The Minneapolis clashes forced Twitter to hide a tweet from Donald Trump a few hours after the anti-social decree signed by the President.
