Everyone at InTallaght is delighted to hear that one of our favourite watering holes will be back in business tomorrow.
The Abberley Court Hotel bar will rock with punters again on Friday after being closed for almost a year with the lounge set to reopen next week. The hotel will not be ready to welcome guests for another few weeks but is also due to be back up and running soon.
From what we have heard many of the staff who sadly lost their jobs when the hotel was unexpectedly closed by NAMA last May have also been offered work.
A buyer was found for the popular landmark Tallaght hotel in January with a price in the region of €2.5 million apparently agreed to secure it for the new owners.
There was much anger and dismay in the local community when the premises was closed abruptly on Friday May 1st 2015 with the the loss of 71 jobs. 100 guests who were in the hotel at the time were also put out onto the streets that afternoon.
We wish everyone involved with the reopening of the Abbo the very best and we look forward to frequenting it again soon!
