So this weekend looks set to be a great one for sports lovers all over the country. First up we have the return of the European Qualifiers and a somewhat easy fixture for Martin O’Neill’s men.
They will face Gibraltar who are yet to get any points in the group so you would expect Ireland to come back with a comfortable win from Portugal on Friday evening. Things haven’t gone exactly to plan for the Irish team and O’Neill will be hoping his side take a win back to Dublin where they will then take on Georgia in the group on Monday.
Next up we have the GAA All Ireland Football Semi Final replay at Croke Park. Sunday saw Dublin and Mayo battle it out quite literally in what can only be described as the ultimate battle on the pitch.
Dublin can count themselves lucky that Mayo didn’t go home the winners on the day after the last 10 minutes of Mayo dominance on the field. It got pretty heated at times and we the public look set for another thrilling 70 minutes.
Also this Saturday Ireland play their last friendly before the World Cup kicks off on September 18th. A friendly on paper it may be but Ireland head to Twickenham where they face England in what we can guess will be a thrilling fixture.
Sunday we see Galway and Kilkenny take on one an other in the All Ireland Hurling Final. Although many people will expect to see the Cats bring home the cream I think the Tribesmen can rally and maybe sneak it, and lets not rule out yet another draw!
