2fm nominates local band to represent Ireland at Europe’s largest music industry event

RTÉ 2fm has nominated local RnB trio Hare Squead (well 2 out of 3 of them are from Tallaght!) to represent Ireland at the Eurosonic Festival, in Groningen, The Netherlands, which takes place 11th – 14th January 2017.

Together just over three years, Hare Squead are quickly making a name for themselves with their infectious sound and exciting live shows.

Eurosonic is the biggest showcase in Europe for up and coming bands, a place where festival bookers, agents, promoters and radio stations across the continent flock to sign up acts for the coming year.

Aged just 19, Hare Squead members E-Knock, Tony Kinston, and Jessy first got together through a shared love of skating and song-writing and have spent the last three years honing their craft.

Last January they signed to Columbia Records UK which was further validation of their undoubted talent and potential.

In the recent times, Eurosonic has helped kick-start the careers of top acts like Kodaline, George Ezra, Hozier, Jungle, Milky Chance, Villagers and Royal Blood after industry movers and shakers from across Europe saw them perform live at the festival.
