The new positions will be in their Global Operations Centre for Europe, Middle East and Africa in Ballycoolin, Dublin.
The company, which offers web users a payment platform, says the roles will be filled by the middle of next month and will bring the total Paypal workforce in Ireland to 3,000 by 2018.
The jobs will be in customer service and team leadership positions, including customer support and risk operations.
