Hoops add extra firepower with first signings for next season

Shamrock Rovers F.C. yesterday completed the signings of Dean Clarke and Gary Shaw (pictured above) for the 2016 season. Both players will add to the Hoops strike force in 2016 competing with Danny North and Mikey Brennan for a place in the Rovers attack.

Dean is a 22 year old striker and joins from Limerick FC, Gary is aged 23 and joins the Hoops from Longford Town.

Manager Pat Fenlon is delighted to capture the signatures of both of these highly rated young players.

On signing Gary Shaw, Pat said that “I am delighted to have Gary at the club, he is a player we looked at earlier in the season so to get him now is very satisfying. He is the profile of player we need to add to the squad, he has a great desire to achieve in football, is hungry for success and gives us more options up front”.

On Dean Clarke, Pat said that “Dean is the profile of player we are looking for; he is a very quick player and adds pace to the squad. He can play on both sides of the pitch and up top. He also has a real hunger for the game and is keen to progress his career at Shamrock Rovers. Other clubs were interested in Dean, we are delighted to have him with us at Rovers in 2016”.
