A Dáil vote on nominations for taoiseach is expected to take place tomorrow as talks on the formation of a minority government resume.
We are set to head into yet another week without a government and the topic of Irish Water is the main concern for the public who will hope to see it officially abolished within the next few weeks.
While some outstanding issues within the formation of the new government have yet to be resolved, a draft Programme for Government will be circulated to independents this morning, who will then consult their supporters. Barring any last minute obstacles, it now looks like the Dáil will vote tomorrow for the fourth and final time on nominations for taoiseach.
The move comes after a long day of talks at Government Buildings yesterday which ended after 10pm last night.
