Shamrock Rovers Football Club today announced the appointment of Brendan Murray as the new Chief Executive Officer.
Club Chairman Jonathan Roche said that they are “delighted to welcome Brendan on board at this very exciting time for the club both on and off the pitch.”
“Brendan’s CV speaks for itself and in discussing the opportunity with Brendan it is clear that he has a passion for the game and the football business. Brendan has the full support of the Board of Directors to make this a very successful appointment for all concerned.”
According to shamrockrovers.ie, Brendan’s career began with global accounting and advisory firm KPMG, where he became a senior member of the corporate finance team. Afterwards he held a senior position with private equity firm FL Partners, where he played a central role in effecting investment and the management of the FL portfolio of business investments before taking up the newly created CEO position at Shamrock Rovers F.C. Brendan graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
